Moody Mountain Farm - Wolfboro NH
As owner operators of The Barn at Moody Mountain Farm, Perrin Long and Julie Maher-Long are excited to share all this historic and beautiful property has to offer.
Perrin and Julie met in 1980 on the island of Nantucket while working in the same restaurant. After living in various cities around the country, they decided to return home to New England to get married and begin a family. They settled at Moody Mountain Farm, a property that has been in Perrin’s family since the 1780’s. They lived at the farm for 8 years before relocating to Portsmouth to raise their two children.
Perrin is a professionally trained chef who worked in culinary education at both the university and high school level for nearly 25 years. Julie has a degree in Accounting and has worked as a bookkeeper and tax preparer for many years. In 2017, Perrin retired from teaching and he and Julie returned once again to Moody Mountain Farm.
Given their unique backgrounds, Perrin and Julie are well suited to the in’s and out’s of planning a wedding. As a seventh-generation owner of the property, Perrin takes pride in making sure the grounds are in pristine condition for each and every couple. He handles most of the property tours and is able to provide couples with ample information and ideas as to how past couples have arranged their wedding around the space. Julie’s background lends wonderfully to all of the details involved in planning a wedding. She is the first point of contact via e-mail and handles the scheduling of tours, preparing rental agreements, and answering the many technical questions that come her way.
Moody Mountain Farm has a rich history for both Perrin and Julie. Not only does Perrin have fond memories of spending his summers here as a child but it is where they began their family together back in the 1980’s. They invite you to come see all the property has to offer and hope to be a part of the beginning of each couple’s happily ever after.

The Fells - Newbury NH
The Fells is unsurpassed in its classic beauty, elegance, and sophistication. Its historic 22-room Colonial Revival mansion, spectacular new events pavilion, and manicured gardens make it the perfect venue for weddings of all sizes. The expansive grounds and facilities provide many options for both ceremony and reception. Whether you dream of an intimate ceremony in the Old Garden or a casual reception on the veranda or a ceremony on the rose terrace followed by a reception in the pavilion, The Fells is the destination for you!
We schedule weddings from June through early October, and are the perfect destination wedding venue. The Lake Sunapee Region offers something for every guest–from adventure parks to hiking to boating to wonderful shopping and dining.
The house and grounds are also available for other private functions, corporate meetings and retreats, and social gatherings with special rates for non-profit organizations.

Powder Majors Farm - Madbury NH
Quiet and secluded, the setting includes scenic farm vistas, open fields, forest, a farm pond as well as stonewalls and historic architecture (i.e. 1723 farmhouse and 1804 barn). The surrounding 260 acres of Powder Major’s forest land has recently been conserved and easements have been placed on the fields to ensure that the property will forever remain a farm and nature preserve. Guests are free to stroll the grounds, check out the farm pond and forest and visit historic sites on the property.
There is also an adjoining timber frame structure that can be used for a ceremony in the event of rain. It also houses restrooms and a kitchen space for caterers.
